In Unimore’s Educational Offer: An Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Health and Sport
Since 2022, Unimore, in collaboration with the University of Verona, has been offering an interuniversity
Master’s Degree in Health and Sport, aimed at training professionals known as Kinesiologists for preven-
tive and adapted physical activity. These experts apply physical activity as a non-pharmacological approach
to the prevention and management of chronic conditions. The programme prepares graduates to work in
health gyms, sports centres, schools, and healthcare settings. It combines biomedical and socio-pedagog-
ical sciences, with internships at nationally and internationally recognised sports institutions, supported
by partnerships with local sports associations (ASDs). There are two curricula: Physical Activity and Health
(Modena) and Health Promotion Models (Verona), with a common first year held in Modena. The course
places strong emphasis on inclusion, equipping students to work with individuals with disabilities or special
educational needs through sport and physical activity. Full details and the call for applications are available
