Due progetti Unimore finanziati dall’Istituto Europeo

        di Innovazione e Tecnologia

Two Unimore projects funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology

The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia is part of EIT - Manufacturing, the innovation community
promoted by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), which connects the main European
players in this field. In the community Call 2022, two Unimore projects were selected to be funded. The
GreenAPS - Green Advanced Planning & Scheduling System project, coordinated by professor Massimo
Bertolini of the Enzo Ferrari” Department of Engineering, which was selected for the innovation field, and the
“Learning Factories for Digital Transformation of SMEs II” project, coordinated by professor Marcello Pellic-
ciari of the Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering, funded within the regional programme for
innovation. The GreenAPS project aims to design, develop and test a production scheduling, which allows
the simultaneous optimisation of production programmes and energy and carbon footprint consumption/
cost for manufacturing companies. The FactoRIS II - Learning factories for digital transformation of SMEs II
project aims at supporting the digital transformation of SMEs to promote the transition to Industry 4.0. The
project is intended to develop a network of Learning Factories, able to demonstrate how digital technologies
can be applied to the solution of real industrial problems by adopting innovative training methods.
