Ceramica: da Unimore una nuova task force
di esperti/e e diverse collaborazioni con le
imprese del territorio
Ceramics: from Unimore a new task force of experts and different collaborations with local busi-
nesses
For years, Unimore has been strongly involved in the participation and promotion of activities and projects
with local companies and disseminates its initiatives with internships, PhD programmes, research contracts,
etc. In particular, in 2021 the new task force “Ceramici” was set up at the University, aimed at demonstrat-
ing the close collaboration that several Unimore research groups cultivate with the ceramic district. It is
intended to bring together research sectors with expertise in different fields so that they can actively work
together with the industrial businesses. Many Departments of Unimore have joined this initiative, each
providing their own background and expertise: the “Enzo Ferrari” Department of Engineering (DIEF) for the
field of materials and radio technologies and artificial intelligence; the Department of Sciences and Methods
for Engineering (DISMI) for Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Costing (LCC), Social Life Cycle Assessment
(S-LCA), and Product Certifications methodologies; the Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences
(CHIMGEO) for studies and research in the field of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished
products; the Department of Surgery, Medicine, Dentistry and Morphological Sciences with an Interest in
Transplantology, Oncology and Regenerative Medicine (CHIMOMO) for microbiology studies; the Depart-
ment of Life Sciences for the Design of Experiments (DOE) and multivariate analysis; and the “Marco Biagi”
Department of Economics for economic aspects and business management. Within the ceramic sector, Uni-
more is also engaged in post-graduate training activities, with a second-cycle Master’s Degree in Ceramic
Technology and Business that will also be proposed for the academic year 2022-2023, with the support of
the Marco Biagi Foundation.
