Unimore and Industrial Associations: together for new synergies

For many years, Unimore has been signing agreements with local companies. It has recently signed memo-
randa of understanding with sectorial Confindustria associations Acimac, Amaplast, and Ucima with the aim
of creating operational and study spaces between universities and companies, reconciling their respec-
tive objectives. The three associations involve almost 400 companies producing capital goods at national
level, which are located mainly in Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Lombardy, and Veneto. This agreement will
give them the opportunity to jointly participate in specific projects and research assignments, as well as to
organise student internships at associated companies. As early as in May, there will be two important initia-
tives involving the Enzo Ferrari Department of Engineering and the Department of Science and Methods for
Engineering. Future appointments also involve the economic-managerial and humanities areas of Unimore.
Currently, the three associations have extended the collaboration agreement to internships, which are also
aimed at the discussion of the degree thesis, as in the case of the project “Internship and Thesis in Italy
and Abroad” activated on the Master’s Degree Programme in International Management of the Marco Biagi
Department of Economics of Unimore. The memorandum of understanding will last for three years and will
be tacitly renewed for a further three years once the first cycle has been completed.
