Transizione ecologica e qualità del lavoro: un

         Convegno alla Fondazione Biagi

Ecological transition and job quality: a conference at the Biagi Foundation

Among the many contributions that Unimore is making to the political-institutional initiatives on
sustainable development, including the NRRP, in its three pillars - environmental, economic and
social - the International Conference “The Green Transition and the Quality of Work” was held in
Modena on 16 and 17 March, on the initiative of the Marco Biagi Foundation and the “Marco
Biagi” Department of Economics: “Linkages, Implications and Perspectives”, the 20th annual study
meeting dedicated to the memory of the labour law colleague killed by the Red Brigades on 19
March 2002. Carlotta Serra, Director of the Foundation, states that the conference represents a now
traditional appointment to remember Marco Biagi and his intellectual legacy, and is one of the
many occasions to consolidate the close collaboration between the Foundation named after him and
the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The conference, as always, brought together scholars
from various geographical and disciplinary backgrounds in a choral discussion that analysed the
complexity of a subject that crosses fundamental practical and theoretical issues. Iacopo Senatori, a
researcher in labour law and one of the organisers of the conference, states that the great challenge
of sustainable development is to balance the environmental, economic and social dimensions of
sustainability without making downward compromises, but rather by progressing simultaneously on
                  all fronts.
