In Modena, an exhibition dedicated to Unimore’s historic scientific instruments
To mark the 850th anniversary of university studies in Modena, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia
(Unimore) is hosting the exhibition “Tesori Modenesi Ritrovati” (Rediscovered Modenese Treasures), dedi-
cated to the University’s historic scientific instruments. Promoted by the Department of Physics, Computer
Science and Mathematics in collaboration with the National Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts of
Modena, the exhibition — held at Palazzo Coccapani d’Aragona until 21 December — features around one
hundred instruments used between 1750 and 1920, recently restored. The exhibition offers an immersive
journey through the history of Modena’s scientific culture, enriched by historical documents and rare books,
and is accompanied by events and guided activities for the public and schools, fostering dialogue between
the University and the city.
